About Bongo -- Mark's NetBSD Computer

WARNING: The information in this page is grossly out-dated. I will leave the pages up in case they might be of some use.

NOTE: I have not used NetBSD for more than 2 years! I have not used MacOS or Mac hardware in more than three years. If you have questions, you are probably better off e-mailing the NetBSD mailing lists rather than me.

Bongo
This page provides a brief description of my home-built NetBSD system named Bongo. It is a home-built PC running NetBSD 1.3 and it is my main computer that I use at home for Internet access, e-mail, homepage development, and interfacing with my PalmPilot.
The case is painted (by myself) a bright purple with black trim. This was before Sony made purple popular with their Vaio series.
The name Bongo is from a character in Matt Groening's "Life in Hell" series. Matt is more famous as the creator of The Simpsons, but I have been a fan since he produced the Life in Hell comic strip. Bongo is a rabbit, but he was born with only one ear.
